Leipzig, East of Germany

In early may i had a trip to Germany in Leipzig, East of germany; I took the bus and we cross belgium, netherlands, and then many tows in germany before
arriving in Leipzig 16hours later.

The culture schock was very impressive. The language barriers, gesture and habits. That experience reminded me of my intercultural communication course.

So big differences between French and German culture thought they are not far each from other.

What was very awesome was buildings in ruins, trying to be sold but they are no one interested to build a town were the unemployment rate is very high and lead leipzig inhabitant to move to other towns.

May! No Internship

A month is past since the end of the exams, but i havent yet found an Intership. I´m looking for 3 month intership, given that i´m leaving to USA on august the 8th.
Many companies offer 6 months intership, what makes it difficult for me to find one who corresponds with my availabilities.
I still believe that i´ll find an intership by may the 15th.

See you soon for news about it

Background

During the Three years Degree I have done several internship. The main internships I did were commercial and the most important one was last summer 2007 in a bank branch as a personal adviser. I Prepared loan files, was responsible for the promotion and sales of a new product Nrj Mobile by CIC, helped manager’s in translating English documents for foreign clients.

As an achievement, I have coordinated a University project whose objective was to convince HR managers from local compagnies to carry out simulation job interviews for students in a week-long recruitment workshop.

Actually, of these two main experience, I have learned Team working, I discovered the business environment. These internship enable me to develop skills as hardship, responsibility at work.

I am currently looking for an internship in buying/sourcing in the textile sector but I could be interested in export financing and also export management. I like the interactive, interpersonal and intercultural aspect of a buyer occupation and combined with my interested in shoes and dresses the best environment to be blooming is in textile.

I invite you to have a look at my CV enclose.

International Fair at Paris expo

Last Week end I attended and set up a stand at an international education fair.
Many foreign and national schools, colleges and universities where gathered at Paris expo porte de versailles on saturday and sunday.
The trend of today's generation is to move abroad at least once; That became obvious to me as i realised the number of students attending to the fair looking for advice about studies in the USA or application form of universities like westminster in London or University of california, Irvine.
Were also there French universities proposing international courses.

Happy new year 2008!

The good news to begin the new year is that i got the place to go for a hole year in canisius. That's great for me.

During the 7 months remaining (in France) i'll have to work hard at my exams in other to have a good academic history; then find a 4 months internship with interesting objectives.

It will be the greatest experience i've ever had until now. So enriching!

Canisius College Buffalo,NY

I'm currently applying for a second year Master degree exchange program at Canisius college in New york. One year abroad is an opportunity i would welcome. A year in the USA would help me to improve my english and also to be immerse in an anglo saxon environment. It's very important as it's part of my vocational project.

After my master degree i wish to work in sourcing as an international buyer in the textile industry. Being fluent in at least two foreign languages and having a totale immersion experience in an other culture are essential skills.

Let's wait for the answer by february 2008.
